Cone Drops

I love the Cone Drop beads!  Maybe it's because they are so similar to an ice cream cone...mmm, ice cream.  They also make fabulous earrings with a little creative wire wrapping, and they hang perfectly for necklaces.

Also in this category you will find the Bi-Cone Drops!  they are all cone, no, ice cream, but still awesome.  They add great texture to jewelry and a whole string of them is impressive!

The Cone Quad contains 4 cavities in the following sizes:

  • 10mm left to right and 15mm top to bottom
  • 11mm left to right and 17mm top to bottom
  • 13mm left to right and 20mm top to bottom
  • 15mm left to right and 23mm top to bottom

The Cone Drop Trio Large contains 3 cavities in the following sizes:

  • 16mm left to right and 25mm top to bottom
  • 18mm left to right and 27mm top to bottom
  • 20mm left to right and 29mm top to bottom
The Bi-Cone Quad has 4 cavities in the following sizes:
  • 8mm wide x 19mm long
  • 10mm wide x 22mm long
  • 12mm wide x 25mm long
  • 14mm wide x 29mm long

The Bi-Cone Trio Large has 3 cavities in the following sizes:

  • 32mm wide x 12mm long
  • 37mm wide x 19mm long
  • 39mm wide x 21mm long
To make a Bi-Cone, I recommend making a round bead that is about 1mm smaller than the cavity is wide, then you can add glass to the top and bottom, to fill in the points of the mold.  You could also make a disk bead about 2mm shorter than the cavity is long (tip to tip), but that is a little trickier in terms of filling the press out across the mandrel grooves, especially in the larger cavities.
