This tool is made of 1" brass. It is a substantial tool designed to work perfectly with the hardware invented and produced by Marj Bates of Scituate MA. Marj has been making knobs for 8+ years, and invented a fabulous kit to make knobs that are ready to install right out of the kiln. No messy glue or epoxy...just lay your glass on the steel insert, shape knob, decorate, pop in kiln and voila...beautiful accent that is ready to install immediately, with the included screws.
The Press makes a knob that measures 1" in diameter and has a tube about 7/16" long which allows for easy grasping. You should use the MAK Kit by Marj Bates with this tool. We have a Zoozii's Exclusive Kit available, which contains:
3 Threaded Mandrels
12 Steel Inserts
12 Screws
Basic Instructions on how to use your kit.
